delay over!
Pretty much 3 weeks have past since we were advised of the issue with our Truffle bricks. At the time of my last post we were still waiting for the sample bricks of the new batch of Truffle... that hopefully were not overcooked. Unfortunately that day arrived and the samples were worse than ever and we resorted ourselves to having to select a different brick. Word from the supplier was that we could be waiting months and even then there are no guarantees the brick would be right. FRUSTRATING!!
Michelle and I spent some time debating over a couple of bricks and resorted to driving all over the Illawarra to see them "in the flesh" as a house. So glad we did! Seeing them in the brick yard or as a sample is very different to seeing them used on a house. We finally landed on a different PGH brick - Palazzo Sorbetto. It's a nice brick. Choosing this brick meant slight change to some of our colour selections with the garage door now Surfmist rather than Shale Grey. Hopefully a good decision.
Today our bricks were delivered and the brickies started sorting them around the house. They will commence laying them on Monday and this process will take maybe a week and a half. Very exciting! The ground floor of the house has now been blanketed which means that some rooms are feeling like they have walls. We are both so excited by how some of our spaces are starting to come together and how they feel!
