one more week!

Hopefully only 1 more week before we get the KEYS!!  😍👍

Homes for Life!

I think I have driven past or been at the house almost everyday over the last couple of weeks. There have been days where the site has been teaming with tradies, from fencing contractors through to concreters, to days where the site has been dead. The house and block are changing every day and it is now looking very much like we had always imagined. We are so excited!

Fencing our block started almost 2 weeks ago. Ethan from Big E's Fencing is our guy and he started with our rear and low side boundary.  The high side had to wait a little longer due to reasons beyond our control but happy to know Ethan is back on Monday to finalise this side and install our gates.

Rear boundary

The other side

The side boundaries run from a 1.8m high fence down to a 1.2m high fence from 1m behind the building line.

Excavation also started on our driveway last Wednesday. The team at Potters Contracting are tasked with the job of providing a beautiful exposed driveway to compliment our new home.  These guys came highly recommended and so far we are not disappointed. A great team of guys who really care about the work they do and going by the first pour today, the end result is going to be fantastic.

A bit of excavation

A bit of formwork

Rio!

Need concrete?  Call them!

Stepping stones maybe?

Where the bins will live.

The first pour this morning. Charcoal with 20% white aggregate. Should come up tops!

Teamwork

Rather them than me to be honest :P

The most important part...LUNCH!

Smooth.

Just a hop, skip and a jump to our door.

What a combo!

Not many inside shots to share with this post but I am planning on filming a room by room video once we get the keys. it's going to be pretty spesh!

In the meantime here are a few random images:

The fiddly light!  The electrician spent a long time trying to get this install right. Turns out one small piece of the  extension tube was causing the whole light to sit crooked. Once we figured it out she finished up nice and straight. Looks great!

My shower. En-Suite goodness! I didn't photograph the bath...I'll save that for another blog.

Our water tank is pumping! Needs some funky hardwood screens.

Grey house, grey day.

Till next time.......
